 With few precedents for a republican form of church governance, the first General Convention met in 1785 in Philadelphia. Today, it meets triennially; elected bishops make  up the House of Bishops, and lay and ordained deputies make up the House of Deputies. What happened in Anaheim this July?  What resolutions were considered that affect our church’s life?  How did our bishops vote? 

Discipleship and the Parables

Crossings is a unique Bible overview with a 3-week section on how to read and interpret the Bible. It explores what many scholars consider the eight core stories of the Bible.  By studying these ancient stories we can begin to see how God continues to act, here and now.
